Glass is never perfectly transparent. It is always slightly tinted, alŽthough the tint is sometimes only visible to the expert. Colored glass is produced by the addition of a metallic oxide to its composition. Glass, when struck, should ring clearly with a long, diminishing sound. Very old glass is usually heavy and does not have a continuous ring. Antique glass is very often covered with invisible scratches.
Glass may be ornamented by cutting, engraving, painting, enamelling, gilding, and pressing. Crystal is a glass made of flint and lead oxide. Both of these dishes were exciting and very tasty, but for those who want to watch their intake of sodium, the black bean sauce can be a little overwhelming. I would still order it but would ask for the sauce to be a little less salty.

It is imported into Britain in the dry harvested state and is then processed and canned into the familiar baked bean, usually in a tomato-flavoured sauce.
