In Los Angeles County the median home price increased 13.6 percent to $508,000. That's the smallest increase since the median rose 10 percent to $230,000 in Nov. 2001. Sales fell 18.8 percent to 8,364 transactions.

On The Other Hand See Ten Rose -pink:The dwarf phlox (Phlox subulata) is called ground pink, moss pink, or in our area, mountain pink. In partial shade the plants form mats of evergreen foliage only a few inches high. Then in spring, they are covered with flat, five-petaled flowers of white, pink, rose, or lavender. There are so many blatantly colored cultivars now on the market that it's hard to remember that this plant is an American native. When planting out phlox, try not to mix too many colors together. Instead stick with the white and the pink, for these look best when mixed with other wildflowers. Dwarf phlox need some sun, so are placed at the edge of the garden. Propagate by seeds or division in spring.
